ABSTRUCT provided civil and structural engineering design services for this 34 unit residental development for Greymoor Homes. Piled raft foundations proved to be the most economic foundation solution due to the varying ground conditions. ABSTRUCT carried out value engineering exercies to establish the most economical and practical external ground levels for the site for optimum drainage design and minimising excavations. Superstructure designs were kept simple with loadbearing masonry, joisted floors and trussed roofs.
