ABSTRUCT are providing full civil and structural engineering design for phase 3 of this data centre campus. Phase 3 consists of the construction of a new three storey building and associated external gantries and external works. The original design for the building required adaption following the installation of the groundworks to meet the industry changes to cooling strategies. The building is a braced steel frame structure with large clear internal spans. Abstruct worked collaboratively with the client, design team and contractor through RIBA stages 2 to 5.
