ABSTRUCT undertook a structural assessment of the existing frame structure at a series of solar farms following initial identification of issues with the original design and subsequent storm damage. Underlying defects with the original design were identified, aided by material sampling and testing and specialist wind loading studies. Abstruct provided design of new frame strengthening measures and supported the client and contractor through prototyping and installation of remedial works, which included targeted strengthening works in the most exposed areas of the sites
