The new restaurant and bar are located on a complex suspended ground floor transfer structure over the existing North Dock and under part of the Canary Wharf DLR Station. The fitout required new below floor drainage routes to serve the kitchen, bar and WC’s. Extensive structural and drainage investigations were carried out, together with assessment of the existing structure to determine optimum routes for new service trenches and drainage routes, whilst minimising structural interventions. ABSTRUCT liaised fully with the landlord monitoring team to attain the necessary structural and drainage approvals.
