Midleton- Phase 4

Commercial Developments

ABSTRUCT provided full structural and civil engineering design services for the fourth phase of the redevelopment of the Midleton Industrial Estate for Guildford Borough Council. The buildings are of braced steel framed construction with traditional pad footings and ground bearing warehouse floor slabs and are served by a gravity drainage system. The development required new accesses to be formed which required a Section 278 Agreement with the Highway Authority. Within the development new access roads as well as associated car parking and service yards were required, all designed by ABSTRUCT. Complex Surface Water drainage issues uncovered during initial site set up also required extensive discussions and negotiations with the LLFA which ABSTRUCT successfully dealt with.
