Tribute to Barry Saunders Euring BSc CEng FIStructE FConsE Our dear friend and colleague Barry Saunders sadly passed away on 11th July 2021 at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer. Much admired and loved for his family values, friendship, professionalism, passion for sport, and a sharp dry sense of humour, he will also be remembered for his extraordinary skills in structural engineering and business which placed him leagues ahead of his peers.   ABSTRUCT remains open for business! Excellent News!

We are delighted to congratulate ABSTRUCT Structural Engineer Justyna Poręba on passing the chartership exam with the Institute of Structural Engineers. It is a gruelling 7 hour exam paper aimed to test and stretch the capabilities of structural engineers prior to becoming chartered. Justyna’s continuous hard work has paid off and we are all very proud of her. Congratulations!

Opening Ceremony of Ightham Scout Hut

Adrian Boult of ABSTRUCT Consulting was delighted to attend the opening ceremony and celebrations of the brand new building for the Ightham Scouts Group on Saturday 14th September.  The scout group put on a great BBQ, drinks and entertainment for all the guests during the afternoon.  Opening speeches were given by the scout group committee chairman Jason Murry, the Mayor of Tonbridge & Malling Jill Anderson and local MP Tom Tugendhat.  ABSTRUCT worked alongside Latitude Architects (Andrew Gilbert) and main contractor G.A. Challenge Completed!

On Saturday 29th June 2019, Team Abstruct conquered The 3 Peaks! Despite gruelling conditions, temperatures of 30 degrees, injured knees and exhaustion, they have done it. Abstruct takes on the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours

Three Peaks Challenge. Adrian, David, James, Helen, Sarah and Martin will be setting off on Friday 28th June, flying first to Glasgow and then driving to our first peak, Ben Nevis at 16:00. After Ben Nevis we will drive to Scafell Pike before tackling the final peak, Snowdon which we aim to finish by 16:00 on Saturday 29th June. We are a self guided group under the direction of one of our civil engineers, Martin Howell, who as a scout leader has previously completed all three peaks. News for January 2019. I wanted to directly let you know about the changes that are happening at abstruct consulting.
