ABSTRUCT provided full structural and civil engineering design services for the combined second and third phases of the redevelopment of the Midleton Industrial Estate for Guildford Borough Council. The buildings are of braced steel framed construction with traditional pad footings and ground bearing warehouse floor slabs and are served by a gravity drainage system. The development required a new junction (Section 278) and access road to serve the units as well as associated car parking and service yards, all designed by ABSTRUCT. ABSTRUCT also prepared the SuDs Verification report, required for the discharge of the corresponding planning condition.
