We are delighted to congratulate ABSTRUCT Structural Engineer Justyna Poręba on passing the chartership exam with the Institute of Structural Engineers. It is a gruelling 7 hour exam paper aimed to test and stretch the capabilities of structural engineers prior to becoming chartered. Justyna’s continuous hard work has paid off and we are all very proud of her. Congratulations!
Adrian Boult of ABSTRUCT Consulting was delighted to attend the opening ceremony and celebrations of the brand new building for the Ightham Scouts Group on Saturday 14th September. The scout group put on a great BBQ, drinks and entertainment for all the guests during the afternoon. Opening speeches were given by the scout group committee chairman Jason Murry, the Mayor of Tonbridge & Malling Jill Anderson and local MP Tom Tugendhat. On Saturday 29th June 2019, Team Abstruct conquered The 3 Peaks! Despite gruelling conditions, temperatures of 30 degrees, injured knees and exhaustion, they have done it. Three Peaks Challenge. Adrian, David, James, Helen, Sarah and Martin will be setting off on Friday 28th June, flying first to Glasgow and then driving to our first peak, Ben Nevis at 16:00. After Ben Nevis we will drive to Scafell Pike before tackling the final peak, Snowdon which we aim to finish by 16:00 on Saturday 29th June. We are a self guided group under the direction of one of our civil engineers, Martin Howell, who as a scout leader has previously completed all three peaks. 15 – 17 Hewer Street, Kensington ABSTRUCT are delighted to be appointed with Adam Architecture and Slender Winter Partnership working with the Royal London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea on the re-construction of 15-17 Hewer Street, Kensington. The existing two storey Victorian building was previously used as an undertakers. The proposals are to carry out a façade retention and new structural frame internally, the addition of an additional storey and extension laterally to provide new apartments within this character building. ABSTRUCT will be providing full structural engineering design services pre-and post planning.
