"It all started with LEGO as a child. I’ve always had an inquisitive mind about how buildings are designed and constructed. Many hours were spent building the ‘impossible’ and subsequently destroying them!

My appetite for this evolved into studying maths, physics and design at school followed by Architectural Engineering at Cardiff University, where I learnt about the process and recognised that there’s so much more involved with building design than just structural engineering. I was honoured to receive the Top Final Year Engineering Student at Cardiff University, the ARUP award and British Steel Prize for my final year projects in 1996.

My philosophy has always been to be open minded, a listener, to work creativly, and evolve. Having lived in Malaysia, the UK and Australia broadened my knowledge and experience. My passion is bringing practical and well thought design solutions to the project, fostering a collaborative approach, and supporting others to flourish. Founding ABSTRUCT in 2012 has enabled me to further promote this."
